Our Story
Jodie Attard - Director
With over 4 decades of working experience within the medical and health Industries and a lifetime of lived experience within disability services, ATJ Solutions offers expert knowledge and a strong network of connections, with health care professionals and services, within the disability sector.
I commenced my career working as a volunteer in aged care, and remained working with the elderly, throughout my studies in Psychology. I then decided to specialise in Alcohol and Other Drug services as a clinician, which was a great steppingstone that led me to next chapter in my life, of 13 years of outstanding experience as a business leader within the Pharmaceutical Industry.
The sudden death of my beautiful Mother had a profound impact on my family and my life and brought with it an array of challenges and opportunities. I had no hesitation in changing my life, and took over the primary care of my sister, who has both an intellectual and physical disability.
The biggest challenges we experienced, was understanding what services were available and how to access them. Once we gained access, the next difficulty was gaining financial assistance, and the biggest obstacle, was trying to find good quality, trustworthy and reliable support workers. This was a very challenging time in our lives, one that was riddled with obstacles, financial difficulties and further crippled by the complexities of life.
So, I decided to start my own business. A business that offers guidance and support to navigate the landscape, one that provides people with an opportunity to gain access to high quality services and to be empowered to live their best life. I take on board this challenge, one that I am extremely passionate about and is very close to my heart. This is how ATJ Solutions was born.
